Cost Comparison: Your Options

When it comes to becoming a medical assistant, you have choices. But not all paths offer the same value. Here's how the numbers compare:

The Real Cost of Waiting

Every month you spend in a longer program is a month you're not earning a medical assistant salary. Medical assistants in the U.S. earn a median salary of $42,000 per year. By completing your training in 18 weeks instead of 1-2 years, you could earn $42,000+ more during the time others are still in school.

Flexible Payment Plans

We offer payment plans that work with your budget — no student loans needed.

Pay in Full

Pay $4,490 upfront and save on payment plan fees. This is the most popular option for students who want to keep costs as low as possible.

Weekly Payment Plan

Start with a deposit of $1,950 and make manageable weekly payments. No credit checks, no interest — just a simple plan that fits your budget.

WIOA Funding May Be Available

Austin Medical Assistant School is approved for WIOA (Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act) funding. If you qualify, your tuition may be partially or fully covered through government workforce development programs. Learn more about WIOA eligibility.

I’ve been taking the Monday and Wednesday night Medical Assistant program since January, and I really like it! The evening schedule works perfectly for me. I can do my usual things during the day and just go to class at night. I looked into a lot of MA programs before, but most of them only had Saturday classes, so this was a much better fit. I’m really glad I chose this one. The instructors are super nice, and I’ve learned a lot so far. Definitely recommend the night program! Read less

I learned so much from the two instructors Lisa and Isabell. The evening classes really worked well with my work schedule and allowed me to make it to class on time every time. Both instructors were very knowledgeable and answered any questions we had. Definitely recommend attending the school if you want something that is quick, efficient and hands on. I feel prepared for when I graduate in 2 weeks that I would be prepared to get hired in an office or speciality. Thanks again Lisa and Isabell for the amazing knowledge and skills you shared with me. I really enjoyed my time at the school and had great instructors. I do feel as though that some of the test questions weren't covered in the lessons, but I still loved the experience.

I honestly enjoyed my experience. Becoming a Medical Assistant through this program was a breeze and my instructors were phenomenal. HUGE shoutout to Mr. Victor and Mrs. D!! I could not have succeeded without them. My proctor Esmer was also a huge help. They all gave very good insight, described everything in great detail, and were always available when help was needed. Amazing program! 10/10 would absolutely recommend! Read less
