I’ve been taking the Monday and Wednesday night Medical Assistant program since January, and I really like it! The evening schedule works perfectly for me. I can do my usual things during the day and just go to class at night. I looked into a lot of MA programs before, but most of them only had Saturday classes, so this was a much better fit. I’m really glad I chose this one. The instructors are super nice, and I’ve learned a lot so far. Definitely recommend the night program! Read less

I learned so much from the two instructors Lisa and Isabell. The evening classes really worked well with my work schedule and allowed me to make it to class on time every time. Both instructors were very knowledgeable and answered any questions we had. Definitely recommend attending the school if you want something that is quick, efficient and hands on. I feel prepared for when I graduate in 2 weeks that I would be prepared to get hired in an office or speciality. Thanks again Lisa and Isabell for the amazing knowledge and skills you shared with me. I really enjoyed my time at the school and had great instructors. I do feel as though that some of the test questions weren't covered in the lessons, but I still loved the experience.

I honestly enjoyed my experience. Becoming a Medical Assistant through this program was a breeze and my instructors were phenomenal. HUGE shoutout to Mr. Victor and Mrs. D!! I could not have succeeded without them. My proctor Esmer was also a huge help. They all gave very good insight, described everything in great detail, and were always available when help was needed. Amazing program! 10/10 would absolutely recommend! Read less

Frequently Asked Questions

We don't accept financial aid, but we have some pretty great reasons why! The founder of our school, Dr. Ince, wanted to create an opportunity for those who desire to enter the field. He believed that students deserve not only a great education but also an affordable and convenient option. Rather than making our school more expensive in order to allow for financial assistance, Dr. Ince chose to keep tuition affordable, giving our students the opportunity to graduate with little to no student loan debt. If none of our payment plan options work for you, please give us a call. We are more than happy to customize a plan!

Yes, you can pay by check. Checks must be sent two weeks before your start date, and you must call our admissions team to provide a tracking number. They should be addressed to Zollege Management Inc., 7701 N. Lamar Blvd, Suite 300, Austin, TX 78752.

The time it takes to become a Medical Assistant varies between schools and certification programs. Our curriculum is 18-weeks long and fully prepares students to start working as a medical assistant.

Austin Medical Assistant School is a hands-on learning program. We take a different approach from traditional education. Our classes take place in a medical office rather than a classroom, with a hands-on component to every part of our course. Classes begin with a lecture and discussion, but most of the class time is spent in labs learning the essential techniques of medical assisting. When our students graduate and begin their career, they feel at home in a medical office.

As a newly hired Medical Assistant, your employer will expect you to know the basic skills of medical assisting. Those fundamental skills are exactly what we focus on teaching our students. Our custom-designed curriculum sets students up for success by covering precisely what doctors will expect them to know.

When you graduate from any medical assisting school you receive a certificate of completion. Many students ask if they can expect to make a higher starting salary if they attend a longer program. The starting salary for a Medical Assistant does not depend on how long you spent in school or how much you paid for your schooling.

Medical Assistants perform a variety of duties, including but not limited to assisting the doctor, carrying out clinical tasks, and completing administrative work.

Medical assistants may perform many different clinical duties including taking and recording vital signs, preparing patients for examination, and drawing blood. Administrative tasks are equally important in the medical assisting field; medical assistants are also in charge of scheduling appointments, maintaining medical records, working with insurance files, and billing.

Assistants are responsible for making patients feel at ease while also preparing them for treatment. During medical visits, assistants often work alongside the doctor.

According to the US Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS), employment of medical assistants is projected to grow 12 percent from 2024 to 2034, much faster than the average for all occupations. For more information, please visit the Bureau of Labor Statistics website.

According to the US Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS), the median annual wage for medical assistants was $44,200 as of May 2024. For more information, please visit the Bureau of Labor Statistics website.

Benefits vary by practice and should be discussed with the hiring practice.
